Oregon Wineries Wine has been produced in the Oregon region since the late 1840s, but it was only in 1960 that the region started to share its secret with the world and begin producing world-class wines. Pinot Noir is regarded as an ancient variety of grape. The flavor, texture, and aroma of the wine are sometime too complex for novice wine-drinkers to comprehend. Oregon wineries produce full-bodied and richer Pinot Noirs, but they do not tend to be heavy. These wines also taste fresher, with a higher acidity, and have a more intense fruit flavor than that of their competitors. Another wine which tops the list in term of production in Oregon wineries is the Pinot Gris. This wine usually has a delicate fragrance with a mild floral and light citric flavor. Oregon wineries put serious effort into cultivating this white variant of Pinot Noir.

Most Oregon wineries offer wine tours that provide wine enthusiasts with a unique chance to experience wine tasting at the source of the wine. They have produced award-winning wines and firmly believe in using the best practices, people, and technology to bring out the best of each varietal.

This winery only produces small lot (fewer than three hundred cases) of Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, and Chardonnay, among others. The winery follows organic principles and uses no herbicides or pesticides, and all tending of the vines is done by hand. The goal is to have perfect fruit that will yield perfect wine.

The rugged mountain valleys and diverse climates in the Oregon valley allow for a wide variety of intensely flavored wine grapes to be grown that satisfy the palates of sophisticated as well casual wine drinkers all around the world.
