Suncé Winery & Vineyard Mixed -12 Pack

Already looking forward to next Christmas?

Think of this as a grown-up, monthly Advent Calendar.

Okay, so the holidays have peaked and you’re starting to wind down. But did you REALLY get what you wanted? REALLY? C’mon, you can tell us. Statistically speaking, several of you probably had a pretty terrible holiday season. Actually, statistically speaking perhaps one of you died.

Let’s all have a moment of silence.

Okay, anyway. If you didn’t get what you were hoping for, consider indulging yourself with a Suncé Winery & Vineyard Mixed 12 Pack. Think of it: every month this year you could open a bottle in a nod to Christmas-to-come, or just in appreciation of great wines. The only real issue is when to enjoy what.

Between the 2009 Viognier, the 2007 Syrah, the 2006 Merlot, the ‘06 Zinfandel, the ‘06 Malbec, and the ‘05 Cabernet Sauvignon (two bottles of each, naturally) you’ve got plenty of flavors for all four seasons. You could also just increase your personal stash for the occasional impromptu dinner party.

But most importantly, you would finally get to open a package and not have to force a smile while saying, “Oh, gosh. That’s nice. I guess.

Perfumed aromas of orange blossom, acacia and violets alert the senses that honey coated apricots, mangoes and pineapple tinged with anise and vanilla bean await the palate.  The finish lingers with the weight and texture of crème brulee.  Barrel fermented and aged.  Try it with Holiday Turkey and Gravy, Seared Duck Breasts, Chicken Gumbo and smoked salmon.  It can also be quaffed on its own.   When sipped room temperature with eyes closed—this is one of the only white wines that can be mistaken for a red wine---with its firm structure and creamy tannins.

Sunce’s third voyage with this varietal is the fullest, blackest, thickest, like oil, exuding a typical Malbec nose of fruitcake and anise with some fresh barnyard mixed in.  In the mouth this potent inky wine shows balanced fruit from start to finish, with rich black cherries & moist earth.
