Jason's Vineyard

Jason’s Vineyard is a distinguished winery located in Jamesport, on the North Fork of Long Island, New York. The vineyard was established in 1996 by Jason Damianos, a passionate vintner whose winemaking philosophy and vineyard management practices are deeply rooted in his Mediterranean heritage and influenced by his father, Dr. Herodotus “Dan” Damianos.

Jason’s Vineyard is noted for its dense vine spacing, a technique borrowed from Bordeaux, which helps to intensify the flavors of the grapes. The vineyard grows a variety of premium grape clones, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot. This meticulous approach reflects Jason’s commitment to producing high-quality wines with rich, complex flavors.

The winery’s name and its Argo-shaped tasting room are inspired by the Greek myth of Jason and the Argonauts, a nod to Jason Damianos’s cultural heritage and his father’s legacy. The tasting room provides a unique and inviting environment where visitors can enjoy the vineyard’s wines, which include a diverse range of whites and reds, from crisp Sauvignon Blanc and elegant Chardonnay to robust Meritage blends​.
