Coffee Pot Cellars is a boutique winery located on the North Fork of Long Island, established by veteran winemaker Adam Suprenant and his wife, Laura Klahre, in 2008. The winery is named after the distinctive Coffee Pot Lighthouse at Orient Point, a nod to its local roots and maritime history.
Adam Suprenant, who has a rich background in winemaking with experiences ranging from Napa Valley to Bordeaux, brings his minimalist and traditional approach to crafting high-quality wines at Coffee Pot Cellars. The winery focuses on producing a small portfolio of ultra-premium wines, including Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, and Gewürztraminer for the whites, and Meritage, Merlot, and a red blend called Beasley’s Blend for the reds. These wines reflect the unique terroir of Long Island and are made using grapes sourced from the best local vineyards.
The tasting room, opened in 2013, is described as cozy and inviting, featuring a large oak bar and a welcoming atmosphere largely driven by Laura Klahre, who also operates Blossom Meadow Farm. Here, visitors can enjoy not only the wines but also artisanal honey and beeswax products. The ambiance is intimate, and the focus is on providing a personalized experience where guests can learn about both winemaking and beekeeping.
Coffee Pot Cellars is dedicated to showcasing the exceptional quality of Long Island’s viticulture and offers a unique, engaging experience for wine enthusiasts who visit their tasting room in Cutchogue, NY.
