Post Winery offers premium Muscadine Wines & Grape Juices grown in Arkansas. They grew grapes in their river valley since the 1870s when this area of Arkansas was settled with Europeans whose ways included a daily glass of wine. They’ve made locally-grown wines ever since. Their signature American grape varietals are Niagara, Cynthiana (Norton), Ives and Chambourcin, Enchantment, Seyval, and the Muscadines. Advancements in winemaking technology in the 1960s and 70s allowed Post’s winemakers to greatly improve their table wine offerings. Post planted Vitus rotundifolia varietals to produce commercially viable wine and juice. Western Arkansas is thought to be the edge of the growing area for Muscadines; the stress on the vines has also produced superior fruit.
